The first UBUNBTU world music gig featured composer, poet and citizen of the real world, Tariq Ankenanton who developed his musical art after studying African rhythm under the tutelage of Griot master Thebe Lipere. With diverse influences such as Baaba Maal, John McSherry, 70's funk legends Parliament and The Clash, the Connection bring a mix of world rhythms to chill the soul and shake the booty

World Music series at the Man on the Moon in Cambridge with monthly sessions featuring the best acts of the local, regional and national world music scene.

Our second gig features the Ivory Coast French-African grooves of Joseph Koutoua and special guests. Music to feed the soul, move the body and challenge the mind. Original songwriting, creative covers and a fusion of influences from chanson through afrobeat to reggae.

The evening includes the launch of Joseph's new anti-mosquito awareness campaign 'DJEKUADJO' (Ivorian patois for malaria). Come and find out more about this important initiative.

Heritage funded arts and music project with the Old Forge museum in Hertfordshire. New writing and commissioned electronica based on sound sampling from a working forge. Stortford Music Festival grew from an original the original Woodworks folk/roots event held annually from 1999 - still going strong in 2013! Cluzion Music ran the festival bar and bar stage from 2001-2011  www.stortfest.com

 

 

 

Good Christian Folk is an arts and music project exploring the links between the sacred and secular traditions in folk music.

The research element of the project led to a multi-media performing arts show featuring local actors and musicians and remains available for bookings throughout the UK
